In the dystopian future of 2045, the United States has become a totalitarian regime known as the North American Federation. Alegre Dyer (Jackie Cruz), a member of the anti-government Resistance, escapes from prison and flees with her family to a remote safe house. However, this supposed sanctuary harbors a dark past steeped in racism and violence.
As Alegre, her husband Ron (Paul Wesley), and their daughter Daria (Murphee Bloom) wait for extraction by the Resistance, they face a chilling encounter with the malevolent spirits tied to the house's history. Ron's mental state deteriorates as he becomes increasingly influenced by the ghost of a former KKK member, leading to a harrowing exploration of how past evils can corrupt the present.
Directed by Bo Mirhosseni, History of Evil blends dystopian political commentary with supernatural horror, serving as a cautionary tale about the dangers of authoritarianism and the insidious nature of hatred. With themes of family, resistance, and the haunting legacy of discrimination, the film invites viewers to reflect on the societal issues of today through the lens of a gripping supernatural thriller.
